Brief Resume

Born in Nassau, Bahamas travelled extensively from birth. Age 45 Two children Matthew 11 and Lauren 9

I have previously served as a Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force as a Physical Education Officer on a short service commission (6 years) and have been involved in previous expeditions to the Indian and Nepalese Himalayas. I have climbed the two highest mountains in Africa, Kilimanjaro, Mt Kenya. Trekking in New Zealand, and several peaks in the Italian Dolomites and the Austrian Alps including the schrankogle and the Marmalada. Whilst serving in the RAF I was able to fly on several occasions with the Red Arrows as I was the Physical Education and Expedition officer for the team based at RAF Scampton, Lincolnshire

Worked overseas in Saudi Arabia for 6 years as a lecturer at King Fahds University, and then worked in Higher Education and Further education and Loughborough college, in the UK

Previous trips include the three peaks challenge in the UK (Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Sca fell in 17 hours.) and numerous local training weekends within the Scottish highlands, Skye and Cairngorms.

I am currently working as PE and sport strategic manager within Standards and Effectiveness Division of the LEA with a remit deliver the national government target of increasing participation rates of pupils in physical education and school sport.

I have studied the Sociology of sport (MSc) at the Centre for sport and society, Leicester) and PE and science, (BEd, Sussex). Qualified as an Ofsted Inspector in Secondary Physical education. Recently completed a Executive Diploma in Leadership and Management.
